1. Who We Are
Fajr is a mobile application developed and operated by IVAA LLC under the Deen Lab brand ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Fajr app (the "App") on iOS or Android.
2. The Short Version
Fajr is designed to work with minimal data. We do not operate a backend server. We do not store your personal information on our servers. Almost everything the App does — alarms, prayer times, settings, streaks — is stored locally on your device using your device's storage.
3. Information We Access
3.1 Location
The App requests access to your device's GPS location to calculate accurate prayer times and Fajr alarm times for your area. Location is used only to determine your geographic coordinates for prayer time calculation. We do not store, transmit, or share your location with any third party. You may alternatively choose a city manually — in which case no GPS access is used.
3.2 Prayer Time API
To calculate prayer times, the App sends your coordinates (latitude and longitude) to the Aladhan API (aladhan.com), a third-party prayer times service. This request contains only coordinates — no name, email, or device identifier. Please refer to Aladhan's privacy policy for how they handle API requests.
3.3 Notifications
The App uses push notifications to deliver Fajr alarms, prayer time reminders, and streak nudges. Notification permissions are requested during onboarding. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device — they are not sent from a remote server. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
3.4 Purchases
In-app purchases (the Barakah Plan) are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify purchase entitlements. RevenueCat may receive a device identifier and purchase receipt data to confirm your purchase status. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or location. 3.5 Local Storage
All App settings, alarm configurations, Fajr streak data, and preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information.
- We do not require registration or account creation.
- We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
- We do not serve advertising of any kind.
- We do not sell any data to third parties.

6. Children's Privacy
The Fajr App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App does not require any personal information to function.
7. Your Choices
- Location: Deny or revoke location permission in device Settings. Use manual city selection instead.
- Notifications: Disable all notifications in device Settings at any time.
- App data: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
